AHSAA TV Network (WOTM) to Broadcast Auburn vs. Park Crossing as GOW at Cramton Bowl

MONTGOMERY – The AHSAA TV Network / NFHS Network Game of the Week produced by WOTM TV for tonight has been shifted to Auburn vs. Park Crossing at Cramton Bowl. The change was made due to Gordo and Pickens County, the originally game of the week, was moved this morning to Friday night due to expected inclement weather, Game of the Week executive producer of WOTM Vince Earley said.
Both Class 7A Auburn and Class 6A Park Crossing have clinched a playoff berth for next week’s first round of the 2019 AHSAA State Football Playoffs.
“We’re disappointed that we won’t be broadcasting the Pickens County-Gordo game,” Earley said. “We are excited, however, to be showing the Park Crossing-Auburn game at Cramton Bowl.”
Game time for tonight’s telecast will be at 7 p.m., with announcers Tommy Wood and Coach Rick Rhoades handling the play-by-play and color commentary. The game will be 10th Game of the Week in the series in 2019.
The NFHS Network is live-streaming all seven state championship matches at today’s 49th AHSAA Elite Eight State Volleyball Championships at Birmingham’s Bill Harris Arena located at the CrossPlex. Eight football contests will be live-streamed to night with 45 tomorrow. A total 70 events are played through Monday.
The AHSAA TV Network and its producer WOTM TV will have a three-hour playoff special show originating from the AHSAA Office Saturday morning breaking down the AHSAA playoff brackets in each classification. Classes 1A, 2A, 3A and 4A meet at 9 a.m., in a pre-playoff planning meeting with the official bra
ckets announced during the session. Classes 5A, 6A and 7A meet at 10:30 a.m. with the same planning meeting.
WOTM cameras will capture the highlights of both meetings and will have commentators Jon Holder and Josh Bean on hand to discuss the brackets, the match-ups, the playoff history of the teams and much, much more. The program will be live-streamed over the NFHS Network and on the WOTM group of cable stations from 9 a.m., until noon. Be sure to make plans to tune in.
