Pisgah 63, Prattville Christian 47

    BIRMINGHAM – Defending Class 3A state champion Pisgah outscored Prattville Christian 22-8 in the third quarter Tuesday to break open a close game and advanced to the 2019 state championship game with a 63-47 win at the BJCC’s Legacy Arena.
    The Eagles (30-1) will face Montgomery Academy (32-1) in the 2019 AHSAA State Basketball Championships Class 3A finals Friday at 12:30 p.m.
    Molly Heard led Coach Carey Ellison’s team with 17 points and Annie Hughes had 16. Hall also had six rebounds and three steals. Chloe Womack chipped in 11 points.
   Prattville Christian (25-9) was led by Ella Jane Connell’s 21 points and teammate Kaitlyn Reyes added 20. Victoria DeMaio had 10 rebounds.
    The AHSAA State Basketball Championships continue Tuesday with the remaining Class 3A and boys’ semifinals and the Class 4A semis. Classes 5A and 6A play Wednesday and Class 7A semis will be Thursday morning. The remaining schedule will be the state finals.
    All semifinal games are being live-streamed over the NFHS Network’s subscriber-based program and broadcast over the AHSAA Radio Network. The finals will also be produced by the NFHS Network and AHSAA Radio Network with the live video also being shown over the Alabama Cable Network.
